Gallman had nine carries for 91 yards and scored on a 50-yard run in Thursday's scrimmage. He has averaged 6.7 yards per carry and has been the top rusher in all three scrimmages.

In 2014, Gallman was one of only four running backs in FBS (Todd Gurley, Terron Ward and Corey Clement) to have 800 yards, five touchdowns and no fumbles. He was also an outstanding workhorse against the rival in-state Gamecocks as he had a game-high 191 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.

Elliott also discussed the possibility of redshirting running back Adam Choice.

"We got a little bit time to fully make that decision, but physically I think he is there," Elliot said. "Once he has the ball in his hands it is just natural for him. Where he is struggling a little bit is just the confidence that hey your knee is fixed. The power will come. He doesn't quite have the power especially in pass protection. The biggest thing is physically he is there. Mentally we got to continue to get him there. Again you are talking about an ACL injury for a running back, getting hit on it and you got a knee brace. Things feel a little bit different. So he has had a good camp. We will go a couple more weeks before we make that decision."
