Dolphins reportedly will release former Clemson DE

The Miami Dolphins will release defensive end Andre Branch in the final year of his contract to save $6.9 million in salary cap room according to multiple reports including NFL.com.

The 29-year-old will now become an unrestricted free agent.

In the last two seasons, Branch had 48 tackles, six sacks, and a forced fumble in 28 games. In 2018, Branch has registered five tackles and a tackle for loss (only 1 start). For his NFL career, he has 188 stops, eight forced fumbles, and 25.5 sacks.

Branch was a second-round draft pick out of Clemson in 2012.

He had 97 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, 40 quarterback pressures, and 11 pass breakups in 1,886 snaps over 48 games (27 starts) at Clemson.
