Clemson TE commit adds second 4-star rating

by - Staff Writer -

Clemson 2019 tight end commit Jaelyn Lay (Riverdale, Ga.) added his second four-star rating Thursday with Rivals.com's updated position rankings.

That joins ESPN in terms of four-star rankings for Lay, who worked out this week at Clemson camp and has put on 13 pounds over the last couple months up to 240. Rivals rates the 6-foot-6 target as the No. 13 tight end in the nation.

Another notable ranking move includes dual-threat QB Taisun Phommachanh, who moved up one spot to No. 4. He is rated as high as the No. 2 dual-threat QB nationally by 247Sports. Four-star running back Chez Mellusi moved up two spots to No. 19 at his position. As noted in a prior update, Bryton Constantin moved to a four-star also in Rivals' top-200 (195) and jumped up to the No. 14 OLB.
