I have given up on Brownell and Clemson basketball. Given that we now only have a handful of sports at Clemson, as an alum, I am upset that “best is standard” is not the motto of our entire athletic department. Given that we only have a handful of sports left at Clemson, there should be a commitment to win national championships in every sport! When you have this few sports left they should be sports you are 100% committed to nothing but success defined by championships! Otherwise what the hell are we doing?!

For those that are not aware, the man on the left in the blue shirt is Glenn Loury, PhD and professor of economics at Brown University. The man on the right is John McWhorter, PhD and professor of linguistics at Columbia University in New York.
Both are lifelong academics and black thought leaders. Loury is a conservative and McWhorter is a liberal. This is a blog where they have a weekly conversation about race, academia, current events, etc. . Each week it’s usually around an hour, but sometimes as much as two hours. This is a clip that was pulled from their most recent conversation.
If you’re not following these men and watching their blog you’re really missing out!

I think like most on here , that we all agree racism is wrong . However , I’m extremely worried over the way folks of the Caucasian persuasion are being treated. What you have in society now are special exemptions made for folks who are foreigners (black ,Mexican) to basically break the law and receive no repercussions. As a miniority, I do not agree with this.
The Democrat party usually panders to folks like me so I’ll just sit here and wait

Well said. But it’s even worse than that. After 30+ years of people on the left championing Title IX and twisting it like a pretzel and manipulating it for every cause the left can think of, it’s embarrassing and unforgivable, the way the left is now in the blink of an eye destroying all of that hard work by acting as if transgendered people, which make up less than 1/10 of 1% of the population, are somehow being persecuted if not allowed to compete with girls and women in sports, which anyone with two working brain cells knows is stupid and ridiculous. The outcome of this drive for special status for people that do not deserve nor need special status is going to destroy decades of progress made for girls and women all for no other reason than propaganda and political power!

EDIT: This post was moved from the Football Board to the P&R Board while I was typing this reply.
The video you posted was a very good one.
It should have, at the very least, been posted in the Ampitheatre, or more correctly in Politics and Religion. Posting it on the Football Board not only didn't gain you any fans, it probably made some people refuse to watch the video in protest.
I say, again. Sports USED to be about escapism from reality. That is one of the things that made it great, and also one of the reasons people get so upset with well paid athletes trying to shove their version of social justice down our throats at a sporting event.
Aside from all that, everyone SHOULD look up the case of Tony Timpa, the white George Floyd. The parallels are shocking. Other than the fact that he was white, and there was no media or social outrage at his death at the hands of the Dallas police.
