That was not back tracking. It was trying to deflect the criticism he has received from fellow players for his uninformed comments.

I think DEW is stuck in Houston. Looks like the Salary Cap is getting cut significantly so nobody can afford him! The Texans unloaded Hopkins and JJ Watt to pay DW4. He took the money, ?? so he is stuck, unless a great deal is presented to Houston. Who cares what Brett says? He was a great player, but DW4’s problem is with his agent and the league contract. He just signed too good a deal to move him with the lower cap. If he goes to the Jets it only gets worse, terrible team and a $4 Million annual tax increase. A swap with the Cowboys ?? could happen. Good luck ?? Deshaun! Pulling for you! ??

I blame reporters for things like this. They feel they have to ask some random player or former player to give their opinion on something like this while either assuming that person is fully up to date on the situation, or not caring if that person is up to date on the situation while only caring about creating a headline. The player in turn feels they have to answer the question because they don't want to come across as boring or not wanting to answer questions whenever they've been brought onto a radio show, podcast, or whatever.
Then the player gets asked something like "Hey, what do you think about Watson demanding a trade less than a year after signing a big extension" and then of course they're most likely going to answer that the player should honor the contract if that's the first they're really hearing of the situation.

I agree bc I think that the real deal was, some reporter probably ask him the question in away that he felt it was between him and them, and then he gets quoted as adding his two cents worth!!!

Why blame anyone? Deshaun Watson can manage his affairs

anyway he deems best. Reporters can ask questions anyway they like. Brett Farve can answer those questions at his discretion, anyway he likes. He can clarify his comments if he wishes. Fans can think what they want _ one way or the other.
As the TigerNet saying goes, “Take it with a grade of slaw.” IMO no harm no foul.

My opinion is there are too many opinions about everything now and everyone takes the next opinion and creates a story with legs. JMHO
