“ Players who are called for targeting still face ejection and, if the foul happens in the second half of a game, disqualification for the first half of the next game.”

I read on here that he would have to sit out half a game in the season, be it the UGA game, I don't know!!!! But we will be less white ;) what ever game that it will be!!!!!

Why would he have to sit out anything? Several people already pointed out above that his ejection was in the first half.

I think he is disqualified for the rest of the OSU game

and has to sit out the first half on the next game, Uga. So I'm thinking he sits first half of Uga. game.

That's only the rule if you are disqualified in the second half.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes - you can be wrong

No

If the targeting penalty happens in the first half (as it did in the OSU game), the player must sit out the 2nd half. If it happens in the 2nd half, they're immediately ejected from that game. AND, if that player has any remaining eligibility, he will also have to sit out the first game of the next season.

So, Skalski's already served his half-game penalty. I think we'd all be raising heck if he got ejected in the 3rd quarter of the Sugar Bowl and had to miss the rest of that game AND the first half of the UGA game. To me, that is a severe penalty that has the potential to disrupt 2 seasons with national title aspirations. Thank God we're not dealing with that BS.

Skalski will not have to sit out to start this season.

He already served his time.

This is a new season and new year he won’t have to sit out

That's not the reason. If he had been ejected in the 2nd half, he would have to sit out the first half of the UGA game even though it's a new season.

If the Dawgs want to know let's tell them yes, and let them be surprised in September.

Not until he targets a UGA player. Love the hard nose player that Skalski is, but hoping he corrects the tackling form and stops lowering his head when he tackles.

Otherwise he will get ejected a couple more times next year.

He sat the entire Spring game

Apr 5, 2021, 11:09 PM

Does that count?
