If there was a specific moment in time when recruiting

took off and Clemson Football turned the corner, it was when that scene in the movie the Blind Side played in theaters, depicting Brad Scott trying to recruit Laremy Tunsil, only to be laughed out of the film for Clemson's strict academic requirements.
This was probably when parents were able to see for themselves that SEC coaches do not care about their son's future outside of sports. It should come as no surprise that the spring following the film's release, we signed Tahj Boyd and a bunch of other really good players.
It is one thing to hear the rumors, but when you see it happening in real time up on the big screen, it is hard not to see the SEC for what it is.

it is a movie about Hugh Freeze and Sandra Bullock, kind of a comedy-drama where a young and up-and-coming High School football coach has an affair with the wife of prominent Ole Miss Booster in order to attain a position as an assistant coach at a D1A school.

As I’m not a movie goer but, without question, Boyd was the catalyst of Clemson recruiting. He certainly lived up to all the accolades! The big game in Atlanta began Clemsons rise to prominence in college football
