Trevor Booker suspended by the NBA

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson standout Trevor Booker has been suspended one game without pay by the NBA for slapping Lakers' center Roy Hibbert in a preseason game in Hawaii on Tuesday.

Booker was given two technical fouls on the play and was ejected with 7:14 remaining in the third quarter of his team's 117-114 win over the Lakers.

He will miss the season-opening game against the Detroit Pistons on Oct 28.

Booker fouled Lakers' forward Julius Randle and Hibbard ran over and bumped Booker and then Booker did an open-handed slap to the 7-foot Lakers' center.
