Former Clemson forward K.J. McDaniels has been recalled from NBDL's Rio Grande Valley to the Houston Rockets on Monday according to team officials.

McDaniels had averaged 15 points and five rebounds in two games with the Valley Vipers.

He had played in three NBA games this season after signing a three-year, $10 million deal with the Rockets during the offseason.

The high-flying 6-6, 205-pound wing finished his rookie season averaging 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. He played in only 10 out of 29 games with the Rockets (including the postseason) and logged 33 total minutes (1.13 minutes per game) since the trade from Philadelphia.

He was a first-team All-ACC selection and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2013-14 while at Clemson. He led the Tigers in points (614), rebounds (255), blocks (100), steals (41) and three-pointers (42) - the only player in the country to lead his team in all five categories.
