so we had a guy who would have started transfer to Charlotte?

unless it was he wanting to be closer to family can't understand that logic? Or we have a very good transfer coming in at the same position.

But of the top guys we were targeting most have selected other schools like Franklin from Indiana who selected Virginia.

I think there is some turmoil in the program...

Trapp’s minutes would have gone down next year IMO.

I would rather Dawes and honor play over trapp, that’s for sure.

They played at the same time plenty last year. Not saying they start every game together. Against bigger teams I’m not sure that’s possible.

But you put your best 5 on the court.

Trapp was 6-4 and Dawes is 6-2. Not a huge difference, although trapp could jump out of the gym.

Their skill sets are different.
Trapp is a slasher and can go to the hole. Can get boards. We have no inside game and need someone to go inside.

You are right. Although he wasn’t really effective as a slasher IMO. His offense I’ve skill set wasn’t that great. He missed a ton of layups slashing that someone like al Amir Dawes would have made.

He was a really good rebounder though. That was his best attribute. We will miss that.

He actually did jump out of the gym.

Why not? Brad likes playing 2 PG's together

Could easily see Dawes and Honor starting. He just deferred to Trapp as that second PG starting this past season.

Perhaps.***

If a kid was at Indiana and had a chance to go to UVA do you really think he would consider us? You are talking about 2 of the blue blood schools compared to a mutt from the pound.

Trapp was very average at basketball

Apr 10, 2021, 10:16 AM

Losing him would not be a huge deal in a normal situation. However, the OPTICS of a mass exodus of players is going to make any player stop & wonder "WTH". Why would anyone want to transfer in from the portal with obvious problems within the program? BB's only vocal supporter just bailed on him- enough said.

There are mass transfers everywhere in college basketball. Miami has 3 with 2 other probably going pro. Nc state, unc, and Virginia all have multiple people transferring.

Those schools have transfers because of playing time and having good players coming in.
We don’t have studs coming out of HS that will make a difference.

You sir represent what is wrong with fans. Sure our program has problems as do most every program. But simply stating the problems was not enough for you. You felt the need to embellish the issues making them seem worse to drive your narrative.
