Is this Mackey Plyler? I know he used to openly make fun of Hamilton all the time on his show.

Bold saying he’s better than a coach he is 8-16 against. OP was 9-6 vs Ham though

Are you talking about Leonard Hamilton? If you are , he has a winning record in the ACC, Brownell does not, you’re either a racist or a fool

Why in the heck would anyone say Brownell is better than Hamilton? Hamilton has performed better in his job than Brownell, the only way you would possibly say Brownell is better is because he’s white and Hamilton is black there’s no other metric that points to Brownell

It is no doubt a bold take and not one that I agree with.
This is also another example of you not being able to think critically.
If you were an FSU fan, you would have wanted Hamilton fired after his 14th season. It took him 9 years to win his first NCAA tourney game. He went to the tournament 4 years in a row (years 7-10) and then went on another 4 year NCAA tourney drought (years 11-14). I can hear the crying now!
Good thing that somebody saw something in him at FSU. They are in a great spot right now with Hamilton as there coach. I’m very envious.

To add to this.
Hamilton through 14 years:
ACC win percentage: 51% NCAA Appearances: 4 NCAA wins: 3
Brownell through 11 years:
ACC win %: 49% NCAA Appearances: 3 NCAA Wins: 3 and maybe more!
Again, I don’t agree with the OPs take. Haha

Hamilton actually BUILT a program, going to the NCAA

tournament in years 7, 8, 9, and 10 of his tenure at FSU. That included a Sweet 16 appearence and 3 straight 3rd place finishes in the ACC. Move ahead to years 15, 16, 17, and 19, and they make 4 more consecutive years in the NCAA tourney, including an Elite 8 and another Sweet 16 and finishing 2nd, 4th, 1st, and 2nd in the ACC. Again, that's a level of program building and consistency that Brad Brownell has never sniffed, and it was all done at what was traditionally a football school.

I’m in no way saying brownell> Hamilton. They just have somewhat similar resumes. Hamilton has done great the last 4 years, but he has had his struggles no doubt. With the talent we have coming back, it think we will continue to improve. If we do, brownell should keep his job. If we regress nest year then he is on the hot seat no doubt.

Well this has been a fantastic year so far. Besides,

KJ McDaniels left early, and that would set any program back at least a decade. Then we had that year where we had to play at the BiLo Center, and that set us back another 5 years. Then covid hit, and that affected us 5 times worse than any other team. Then, when you consider that it's flat out impossible to get any good basketball players to come to Clemson (stop dreaming) because we're out in the country, in the middle of nowhere, Brownell should be in the coaching hall of fame for the magic he has worked, and we should build a shrine in his honor. Just hope we can make the NCAA tournament again in 2025 and be happy with that.

Maybe, eventually. But Brad will have to do a lot of winning and I would love to see it!
