Clemson redshirt sophomore left-hander Jake Higginbotham will sign with the Atlanta Braves, Clemson coach Monte Lee said in a press conference this morning.

Higginbotham was selected with the 322nd overall pick in the 11th round of the MLB Draft by the Braves Wednesday.

He started 16 games this season with a 6-1 record and a 3.47 ERA. Higginbotham redshirted in 2017 and missed the end of the 2016 season after suffering a stress fracture in his elbow. The Hoschton, Georgia native went 3-0 with a 4.59 ERA in 2016.

He improved on being drafted out of the 27th round in high school by the New York Mets initially. Higginbotham was a first-team All-American by both Louisville Slugger and USA TODAY as a senior.

Of Clemson's signees, Lee said that outfielder Parker Meadows will also sign and infielder Charles Mack will likely sign, while fellow draftees Justin Wrobleski (LHP), Davis Sharpe (INF) and Adam Hackenburg (INF) will all come to Clemson.
