Clemson infielder selected #501 overall in MLB Draft

Clemson infielder Weston Wilson was selected in the 17th round with the #501 overall pick by the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday afternoon.

"Extremely excited for this opportunity with the @Brewers," Wilson tweeted. "Ready to get started!"

In 2016, Wilson batted .279 with seven homers, 45 RBIs, and eight stolen bases. For his collegiate career, he batted .260 with 14 home runs, 94 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases.

This is the first time that Wilson has been drafted.
