Before Clemson: Played four seasons (2013-16) at Presbyterian College, where he was coached by Elton Pollock and hit .324 with 40 doubles, one triple, 12 homers, 75 RBIs, 87 runs and 17 steals in 126 games ... third-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball in 2016, when he hit .341 with 27 doubles, one triple, 10 homers, 55 RBIs, 47 runs and nine steals in 57 games ... second-team All-Atlantic Region by ABCA and Second-Team All-Big South in 2016 ... first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2016 ... set a school record for doubles and tied the record for runs in 2016 ... hit .395 with two homers, seven doubles and 11 RBIs in 11 games in 2015 before suffering an injury; received a medical redshirt ... hit .300 with five doubles and 28 runs in 39 games ... first-team all-region as a freshman, sophomore and junior at Eastside High School ... hit .551 with five homers as a junior, when he was first-team all-state ... lettered multiple times in baseball at Eastside High School, where he was coached by Scott Erwin.
