Mickey,

If Clemson football could have its top prospects on their board at each position, what would the rest of the class look like? Thanks. Enjoy your radio show and blog. Go Tigers!

Jason

Jason,

Unofficially I think it is pretty clear who is at the top of their board at almost every position. At quarterback, they got their guy in the nation's number one player in Trevor Lawrence and are done at the position.

Zamir White is most likely at the top of the running back board, but signs point to UGA at this point. The rest of the running back board in not clear, but maybe Lyn-J Dixon from Butler, GA or Master Teague from Blackman, TN are towards the top of the board.

At wide receiver, they would ideally like to sign one more player. Justyn Ross of Phoenix City, AL is they best player on the board. It is tough getting a five-star from Alabama, but you asked about a dream scenario.

Brendon Galloway is committed at tight end, and they are done there.

On the offensive line, Jackson Carman of Fairfield, OH is the top tackle, and Jamaree Sadler of Atlanta is the top interior offensive lineman. They would like to take two to three offensive lineman, and Trey Hill may be third on that list.

With two top 100 defensive ends in Xavier Thomas and Justin Mascoll already on board, the staff may take one more defensive end and K.J. Henry of Clemons, NC is the best on the board.

They may take just one more defensive tackle in this class and Darnell Jefferies of Covington, GA is perhaps the best player here. Alum McNeill of Raleigh, NC is another player high on the board at defensive tackle.

My guess is that they are done at linebacker with the commitments of Jake Venables and Mike Jones.

The could sign two to three defensive backs in this class. Patrick Surtain of Plantation, FL and Anthony Cook of Houston, TX are at the top of the board. Kyler McMichael of Duluth, GA and Tyson Campbell of Plantation, FL are versatile athletes that are also very high on the board. A player Clemson may take a swing at and is an intriguing figure is DeMarvion Overshown of Arp, TX.

Remember these are only my opinions and in recruiting the boards are very fluid. Hope this helps.

Mickey,

Clemson is lucky to have made some great coaching hires in recent years. Monte Lee is a great fit in baseball. What other coaches have impressed you? Thank you.

Ray

Ray,

I think you are asking about head coaches. Perhaps the best new hire in the last couple of years is Kelly Hester for the women's golf team. She took over a splintered squad and has pieced together a great season. The program won its first tournament ever this year, and this past week the Lady Tigers advanced to the NCAA finals for the first time. Amazing accomplishment. But her best attribute may be her belief in how she develops people. Coach Hester spends a large amount of her time on things other than golf to make sure her players get a well-rounded college experience and leave better equipped for life after college.

Mickey,

I know Louisville has a great record, but my goodness look at that schedule. The Tigers are gonna take two of three this weekend and might sweep the Cards. Go Tigers!!!!

Blake

Blake,

You are correct in pointing out Louisville has played a weak schedule. They didn't face UNC and don't play FSU until next week. Their "OOC" schedule is pretty weak as well. This is a talented bunch but I believe if Clemson plays a clean series and limits mistakes, the Tigers can win the series. It should be a great weekend.
