Has anyone visited with Steve Fuller after this year’s national championship win to see how He feels now about giving permission to bring his #4 jersey out of retirement for Deshaun Watson? It would be interesting to know some of the discussion the two of them had when he first arrived at Clemson and what he thinks of this young man’s accomplishments, character and commitment to the Clemson Program.

I have not heard, but we are planning a new segment on my radio show where we interview former Clemson greats and Fuller is one of the guys we would love to have on. I promise you that will be the first question I ask.

Has it been officially announced that Christian Wilkins is moving back to defensive tackle? Any chance he gets reps at defensive end?

Carl,

I haven't seen anything officially, but my guess is he moves back inside. Austin Bryant is healthy, and Clelin Ferrell is a star. I would think the strategy is to have the best four players on the field and I think the best four are those three and Dexter Lawrence. Wilkins has proven he could move outside, but I think barring an injury, he stays inside.

I heard you say on the radio that Logan Davidson is the next star at Clemson. Tell me more. What position? What makes him special? How good is he compared to Beer? Thanks. Love the show.

Nick,

I have been told by baseball people that Davidson will be a first round pick in three years. His dad played at Clemson and in the majors. Logan is a 6-3, switch-hitting shortstop that is a terrific athlete. He is a great defensive shortstop as well. I had a scout tell me he is a rare talent. He is different than Beer though. Beer has more bat speed and power. Davidson runs better and is a switch hitter. Different positions. Different styles. Same upside.
