Mickey,

I sure hate to see a players dismissed, but yelling at your coaches and doing other things that show no respect for others is simply unacceptable.  I wish Chad KellyChad Kelly

the very best.  Perhaps he can transfer to another school and become a starter.

I hope Ryan is doing well and that you have an opportunity to go watch a little bit of MLB this summer!

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

Kirk,

Thanks for the kind words about Ryan. He keeps making good progress.

It is unfortunate that Kelly continued his downward spiral. His pattern of behavior just became too much for the staff to excuse. Like you, I hope he finds peace and matures into a fine young man.

Mickey:

Once again you hit it on the head. NO program can afford to keep a player with his issues on the team. All the ability in the world does not make up for a bad attitude no matter what the cause of that bad attitude.

We will be fine this year and beyond based on what I saw at the SG. TJ Green is one hitter at safety and that is exactly what we need-----hard, CLEAN hits all over the field!.

Hope all is well with you.

J. S.

J.S.,

It is a shame things turned out the way they did with Kelly. I think the staff gave him multiple opportunities but he just could not overcome his temper. I am hopeful he will eventually change his ways and wish him the best.

I agree on Green. I noticed he was a very good tackler on the kick off team last year. he just looks more natural at safety than he did at wide receiver.

Mickey,

I think you have seen Kelly Bryant our newest commitment. What are your thoughts on his ability? Thanks and Go Tigers!

Ken

Ken,

I have seen Kelly on a few occasions. I really love his potential. He has very good size. Kelly is an advanced athlete with terrific feet. I love his poise in buying extra time in the pocket. He plays in an explosive offense and keeps improving as a passer. I think he will continue to improve as a passer and has a chance to be a multi-year starter at quarterback at Clemson.

Mick,

What does your gut tell you on K.J. McDaniels? Is he coming back or is he leaving? Thanks.

David

David,

I actually spent an hour with K.J. Wednesday night. Clemson puts on a career night for its student athletes and I was one of about 50 people in the community that was invited to meet with some student-athletes. Each table had five student-athletes and K.J. was at my table. It's was a great event where they got to inquire about different careers. K.J. wants to get into sports broadcasting when his basketball career is over. I did not think it appropriate to ask him about his future at that event. The timing was not appropriate. He did say that he went to individual workouts earlier in the day. I am not sure what that means though. To directly answer your question, my gut says he is gone but that is only a guess.
