Good morning

Tony Elliott eluded to Tavian Feaster being limited in the early part of Aug practices (in the article about L J Dixon)

Can you tell me Feaster's problem, injury ?

Thank you

Bill

Bill,

He had a procedure on his meniscus recently, but they feel he will be back in a green jersey this week and hopefully, he will be full speed soon.

Mickey,

Since the quarterback situation is all anyone wants to talk about, I thought I would ask a different question. Are they any sleepers to keep an eye on this season? Any underrated players to watch? Thanks.

Michael

Michael,

I think with so much coverage now it’s hard to be underrated or to be a sleeper. We know these guys when they commit as juniors. I do think Chase Brice is better than some think. I think Lyn-J Dixon is a candidate. Justin Foster is a better player than most would have thought. I know he plays a bunch last season but James Skalski is underrated in my opinion. These are just a few that come to mind.

Mickey,

Just curious who are the latest targets for Clemson 2019 offensive line recruits. Looks like we have a great upcoming class and the only possible need is in the offensive line.

Thanks

Brantley

Brantley,

I think they will sign at least four offensive linemen in this class, so that means at least three more commitments.

The top two targets are five-star center Clay Webb of Oxford, AL and five-star tackle Darrell Wright of Huntington, WV. Clay likes Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Auburn. Wright is open but has been linked to Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and several others. Neither are close to a decision.

Jakai Moore is an offensive tackle from Nokesville, VA. He mentions Penn State, South Carolina, and Clemson.

Trevor Keegan of Crystal Lake, IL seems to favor Michigan and Ohio State, but Clemson is involved.

Clemson has offered two in-state linemen in Hanahan’s Cooper Dawson and Benton Honea-Path’s Avery Reece.

I also think there is a good chance the Tigers will go back on several linemen that have committed to other schools throughout the season.

Hope this helps.

Mickey,

Any idea on which freshmen redshirt and which ones avoid redshirting?

Clint

Clint,

It is way too early and even the staff doesn’t know yet, but if pressed I would say Lawrence, Kendrick, Ross, Galloway, Carman, Thomas, Henry, McMichael, Jones, Goodrich and Potter play. I think it’s too early to tell in Dixon, McFadden, Venables, Jefferies and Mascoll.
