.  The four-star tackle is rated 10th in the country by rivals.com and is set to commit to either Clemson or Florida Thursday afternoon at his high school in a press conference.

If Fruhmorgen picks Clemson, as expected, the Tigers staff will have three excellent offensive line prospects committed.  Early this year they got a commitment from the nation's top offensive tackle prospect in Mitch Hyatt Mitch Hyatt

This is shaping up to be one of the top offensive line classes Clemson has signed in years and it perhaps marks a shift in offensive philosophy.  The staff appears to have the mindset to make this unit one of strength in the future.

The staff would like to sign four in this class and with a third commitment Thursday they could be very selective with the final offensive line take.

Coming!

Deshaun Watson suffered a slight setback Monday evening when he cracked his collarbone at a scrimmage in the indoor facility.

I am told this could be a slight setback for a couple of reasons.  First, he should be out only three weeks.  He will not require surgery and should be back to off-season conditioning drills within a month.

Also I am told by those that have seen him that Watson was coming on strong.  I am not sure he can win the starting job by the August opener in Athens but I am told by a couple of sources that the staff is very excited about how fast Watson has picked up the offense.  One told me that Watson is everything they thought he would be when they signed the five star.

Going?

This week we should find out about the future of K.J. McDaniels.  If his mom has anything to do with it McDaniels is gone to the NBA.  It is no secret among those that sit around her that she is adamant that K.J. turns pro.  The only chance Clemson has is if he listens to some NBA scouts instead of family.

Multiple sources tell me they have not heard the final word but I don't know anyone that thinks McDaniels comes back at this point.  If that is the case, he would surprise many around him.

Going!

You can't blame the baseball program if they cringe when they look at the schedule and see Virginia on the schedule.   Clemson is on a three game losing streak and made five errors last night in the loss to Georgia. Virginia is a ro five program and the Cavaliers have won 15 of the last 17 games against Clemson.

A huge baseball fan who is a friend has an interesting theory on why Virginia has dominated Clemson recently.  For those that are not aware, Virginia plays a painfully slow style of baseball.  Their pitchers take forever in between pitches.  Their hitters delay the game with time outs and constantly step out of the box.

My friend says Clemson's aggressive style often leads to impatience when facing Virginia.  He says Clemson tends to run itself out of innings because of the aggression.  He claims that plays right into Virginia's hands and the Cavs tend to play even slower against the Tigers.

I mentioned on my radio show yesterday morning that I think Clemson needs to take a new mindset to Charlottesville this weekend.  You know the game will last four hours, so just prepare for that.  Pack some extra sunscreen, juice boxes and snacks and just sit back and enjoy the slower pace.  This is an example of accepting what you cannot change.  Maybe this wouldn't make a big difference in the outcome, but it can't get much worse than 2-15.
