Anthony's highlight was sharing in Pagan's commitment

Wren OL Shaq Anthony said his official visit to Clemson this past weekend was a blast, but the highlight for him was when 4-star defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan committed to the Tigers.

Anthony said after getting to know Pagan and his family, he was glad to see the big defensive end choose to be a Tiger.

“It was a really fun weekend,” Anthony told TigerNet. “Definitely, Pagan committing had to be the highlight, and I was there when he committed. I had been in the building, and I talked to Pagan and told him I was getting ready to leave. He and his mother developed a really good relationship with me and my family. I was ready to leave, but Jeff Scott told me to come back upstairs, and to bring my mother. His mother [Pagan’s] was there, and then he came out and said he had committed. He is a really good guy.”

Anthony also got to spend time with new offensive coordinator Chad Morris.

“I got to finally meet Coach Morris in person, and he is a really cool guy,” he said. “I like what he brings to Clemson. He is really confident, and he is ready to get rolling. I look forward to playing for him. He seems like a really good coach.”

He said he feels like this recruiting class is going to be a part of something special at Clemson.

“Yeah, I just feel that recruiting is what wins,” he said. “That class we have coming in right now is special, but it all depends on how hard we work when we come in. It all depends on what these players believe we can do.”
