CLEMSON, SC – Sophomore guard Donte Hill has decided to transfer from Clemson to another Division I institution, Head Coach Brad Brownell announced Tuesday. Hill will complete the fall semester academically at Clemson.

“Our coaching staff has enjoyed the brief time we’ve spent with Donte,” Brownell said. “We certainly wish him the best in the future.”

Hill appeared in 23 games as a freshman in 2009-10. He played 5.1 minutes per game and averaged 1.4 points per contest. Hill added eight assists and eight steals in a reserve role. The Virginia Beach, VA native tallied a career-high 11 points in Clemson’s win over College of Charleston last December.

“I have enjoyed my time at Clemson and appreciate the way the staff and the fans have treated me,” Hill said. “At this time I feel it is necessary to continue my career elsewhere.”
