Clemson Announces 2009 Home Football Game Designations

Clemson, SC – The Clemson Athletic Department has announced the home football game designations for the 2009 season. The opening game with Middle Tennessee on September 5 will be Youth Day and Hall of Fame weekend. The Boston College game on September 19 will be Family Weekend and the TCU game the following weekend will be the football reunion weekend. That contest will be the 50-year anniversary of Clemson’s Bluebonnet Bowl game with TCU.

The Wake Forest contest on October 17 has been designated IPTAY Day and the October 31 game with Coastal Carolina will be Homecoming. It will be the first time Clemson has celebrated Homecoming on Halloween since 1931. The Florida State game on November 7 will be Solid Orange Day and the Virginia game on November 21 will be Military Appreciation Day.

The Athletic Department also announced the Fan Appreciation Day this year will be Sunday, August 23 at Clemson Memorial Stadium.
