In Progress Final Stadium Scrimmage Update

by - Correspondent -

Clemson sports information director Tim Bourret called into Cruise Control near the end of Clemson's final stadium scrimmage Tuesday at Death Valley. Here are some of the highlights. A full report will be coming later on today:

- Quarterback Willy Korn has looked good again today. Got 3-4 plays with the first team offense after Cullen Harper turned an ankle. Harper is okay and returned quickly.

- Running game looks much improved. James Davis ran strong today, and C.J. Spiller looked good. The first team offense was concentrating more on the running game.

- Third string quarterback Tribble Reese broke about a 70-yard touchdown run.

- The defense is displaying quickness again. Nick Watkins had a couple of pass deflections. Rashaad Jackson is playing well on the defensive line. Phillip Merling had yet another good day.

- Rendrick Taylor got a couple more looks at RB in short yardage situations. Seems to finally be healthy.

- A number of the younger guys are getting playing time again. Sadat Chambers, for one, has looked good at running back. Some of the young linemen have looked better again today.

- Mark Buchholz kicked field goals of 56 and 47 yards.

- The kick coverage team did not allow a return past the 27 yard line Tuesday.

- No practice Wednesday. Workout Thursday and then Beanie Bowl is Friday at Death Valley.
