Two Women's Basketball Players Suspended |
CLEMSON, SC - Clemson women's basketball head coach Cristy McKinney has announced that senior Tasha Phillips will be suspended for the remainder of the 2005-06 season due to a violation of team rules.
She made the announcement shortly before Clemson's game at Virginia Tech on Thursday evening. Senior Julie Talley will also serve a one-game suspension during the Lady Tigers' contest against Virginia Tech for a violation of team rules. Phillips averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 21 games this season, while Talley ranks third on the team with a 9.5 scoring average after starting all 22 games for Clemson.
