Notes - Charlie Whitehurst is in Birmingham on Monday getting his shoulder looked at by a specialist. - Bowden has not decided if offensive lineman Nathan Bennett will play in the bowl game yet. Bennett missed the USC game due to academic reasons. - Bowden impressed with how defense has improved. Clemson would be in the top 10 of scoring defense in not for the Miami overtimes. - 17 to 20 scholarships available for this year's recruiting class. - Players are off till next Monday and then will start running and lifting weights. - Bowden said defensive back Duane Coleman has time to make up the work necessary to get his extra year of eligibility but it will up to him to do it.
