Michael Hamlin To Join Tigers in June

by -

Michael Hamlin Defensive back Lamar High School 6'3", 191 pounds It would be difficult to say that Michael Hamlin hasn't been keeping busy since his final game in a Lamar High School jersey last fall. The Clemson signee, who has qualified academically, also displayed his talents on the basketball court and baseball diamond.

In basketball, he averaged 22 points, 3.7 steals, 12 rebounds, five blocks, and five assists per game, and played in the North/South game. In baseball, he hit .426, leading Lamar to the state title series. He has also found time to work out and run a mile and a half four days a week. "If I play another sport at Clemson, it will be basketball," Hamlin said. "But right now, I am ready for football. I am going down on June 27th for summer school classes, and I am looking forward to it. I want to get used to the college atmosphere."
