More on Dean: Jad Dean grew up a Clemson fan and waited for the offer that came from Tommy Bowden in July. Dean regularly nailed kicks of over 60 yards in practice. As a junior he was four of five on field goals with a long of 48 yards. He was 46 of 48 on PATs that season. As a sophomore he was 10 of 14 on field goals and 52-55 on PATs. He played in the Shrine Bowl. He visited North Carolina, but made it clear that he had set up the visit only as a back up plan in case there were coaching changes at Clemson. More on Green: Green caught 15 passes for Salem High last season. Salem was primarily a running team. He was also recruited by Georgia Tech, Arkansas and Furman. More on McDuffie: McDuffie attended George Washington High School in Danville, VA before his year at Hargrave. He selected Clemson over Florida State, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Bench presses 400 lbs. Had offers from Florida State, Central Michigan and East Carolina. McDuffie said he chose Clemson in part because the players’ days are regimented. He said he wanted to be a part of a disciplined program. Before he went to Hargrave, he would have avoided such a regimen, but now he welcomes it. He could end up on the offensive or defensive line.
