CLEMSON RECRUITING

Tigers Add Second Offensive Lineman Commitment

by -

CLEMSON, SC -- According to MickyPlyler.com, Clemson picked up a commitment from Allen, TX offensive lineman Clint LaTray. The 6-foot-3 and 265 pound LaTray also had interest from Florida, Oklahoma, Tulane, and Texas Christian. LaTray camped at Clemson this summer and impressed the Clemson coaching staff enough for them to offer him on site. As a junior, LaTray was named first team all-district after helping his high school team to a 10-3 record. This June, Student Sports picked LaTray as third team offensive lineman on their All-Texas preseason team. “Clemson is involved with some very highly thought of offensive lineman this year from across the country so it says a lot about LaTray for them to take him this early when they will only sign 5,” said recruiting analyst Mickey Plyler. The addition of LaTray gives the Tigers four verbal commitments so far this year and their second offensive lineman. LaTray was recruited by Clemson assistant Ron West. NOTE: Look for a radio interview with Clint LaTray in the next several days on “Plyler on Sports” on 1070 AM in upstate SC. 2003 Reported Commitments 1 OL Jarrod Britt 6-5 270 Powder Springs, GA 2 QB C.J. Gaddis 6-1 197 Raeford, NC 3 K Jad Dean 5-11, 190 Greenwood, SC 4 OL Clint LaTray 6-3, 265 Allen, TX
