Tigers Overpower Appalachian St, 76-66

CLEMSON -- Chris Hobbs scored 20 points, and Ray Henderson added 16 and grabbed 10 rebounds in leading the Tigers to a 76-66 win over Appalachian St in men's Atlantic Coast Conference action Wednesday night.

With the win, Clemson improves to 6-2 overall, and Appalachian St falls to 3-4 this season. Appalachian State was led by Jonathan Butler, Matt Jones and Shawn Hall with 11 points each.

The Tigers led 34-33 at the half, but the Mountaineers took a 6 point lead early in the second half. Then Clemson went on 18-4 run to pull away and put the game out of reach.

Clemson had 17 turnovers while the Mountaineers had 21.

Clemson will next face instate rival South Carolina on Saturday, December 8 in Littlejohn Colisuem at 8PM EST.
