Green told TigerNet that he thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Clemson, but his mind was already made up before he arrived on campus Friday, and that the visit just assured he and his family that he was making the right choice.

“I'm real excited about it," Green said. "This visit didn’t change my mind. My mind was already made up. This is a great place, and it’s a team that is going to win and they want to go for a national championship. I know this is the right place for me. My family loved it and they know this is the right place for me.”

Green said he told Swinney during Swinney’s exit interview with Green and his family.

“We were in there talking to Coach Swinney, me and my family, and I told him I wanted to talk about a couple of things,” Green said. “We talked about it, and I decided I wanted to commit.”

He detailed some of the events during his visit, a visit that lasted from late Friday through early Sunday.

“We got there Friday and we ate and I just went and hung out with my host,” he said. “On Saturday, we took a tour of the facilities, ate, took a tour and then ate again. Then we went to Coach Swinney’s house for dessert.”

Green said he was particularly impressed with Death Valley and the WestZone.

“All of that is first class,” he said. “You can’t beat it.”

Green said the Clemson coaches told him he would start out as a main cog on special teams – as a kick returner – and then see if he fits in at another spot like wide receiver or safety.

During the 2012 season, he averaged over 22 yards per catch and had nine touchdowns. On defense, he had 25 tackles and four interceptions.

Green was recently offered by Auburn, and he was thinking about taking a visit to Auburn next weekend, but told TigerNet he doubts he will take that visit now.
