As a junior, he had 1,600 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns. Nephew of former Florida Gator and NFL defensive end Jevon 'The Freak' Kearse. He is also cousins with pro cornerback Phillip Buchanon. Attended the Dabo Swinney football camp in June 2012. Kearse decommited from Miami Hurricanes on 6/15/12. Friends with Clemson star receiver, Sammy Watkins.
