As a junior, he had 1,600 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns. Nephew of former Florida Gator and NFL defensive end Jevon 'The Freak' Kearse. He is also cousins with pro cornerback Phillip Buchanon. H attended the Dabo Swinney football camp in June 2012.
