As a junior, he was named to the Florida Class 4A All-State First Team. He threw for 2587 yards and had 35 touchdowns passing and 7 interceptions. He also had 15 rushing touchdowns at the QB position.

Clemson has recruited him as a safety on their team.

His older brother, Brandon Harris plays for the Houston Texans.
