Height: 6-1 Weight: 205 Hometown: Goose Creek, SC (Goose Creek HS) Class: 2012
According to Craig Haubert of ESPN:
He finished his junior season with 105 tackles and 3 interceptions. He was named a class of 2012 ESPNU 150 Watch List Recruit.
"Burrell is an athletic but undersized linebacker prospect who had a good all-around day. He tested well, posting a 4.59 40 time as well as 35.5-inch vertical. He pushed out 19 reps on the bench. On film he looked active and aggressive with good feet, and he showed that on Sunday as well. He was tough in one-on-one coverage drills versus the running backs and tight ends. He was able to use his hands and be physical initially. He also displayed the athleticism to be able to turn and run and maintain good coverage, often for periods that extended longer than they would in an actual game setting. He displayed good awareness in 7-on-7 drills. Burrell needs to add bulk, and there are areas in which he still needs to improve. But overall this is an athletic defensive prospect and we are not surprised he said he had close to double-digit offers."
