I transferred from USuC to Clemson in 1973, so I know the difference between hell and paradise. My father played CU football 1918-1920. The newspapers I've worked for included the Tiger, Hartsville Messenger, Lee County Messenger, Sumter Daily Item, Anderson Independent-Mail, Asheville Citizen-Times and, currently, the Lee County Observer. My golf handicap, once 0, has climbed to 10. I live on my farm near Bishopville, but all I can grow is old, so I rent it.
