Clemson head coach Brad Brownell said that senior forward Devin Booker played harder and more determined than any other Clemson player in the Tigers' loss to Purdue Wednesday night, and he said that he accomplished that with a "heavy heart." Brownell said that Booker returned home to be with his family after his grandfather had a heart attack and is currently on life support. Brownell said the coaching staff didn't know until around 6 p.m. if Booker would even make it back for the game, but he showed up about an hour before tipoff. Booker had 18 points and had eight rebounds.

“I thought Book played well under the circumstances, playing without Milton (Jennings). I thought he competed very hard and played the hardest of anyone on our team tonight. I know he played with a very heavy heart," Brownell said.
