A funny thing happened after Clemson's season ended against Florida State -- Dabo Swinney helped the Tigers rebuild it.

Clemson faded late against the Seminoles and lost by 12, giving up 49 points. The questions surrounding the Tigers' defense after last year's Orange Bowl blowout loss returned.

But since then, Clemson's defense has improved steadily while the offense has turned into a juggernaut. Tajh Boyd ripped apart Duke last Saturday, the second week in a row he's toyed with a solid defense on the road.

Clemson has been criticized in previous seasons for fading late -- “pulling a Clemson” in November. This season, the Tigers are playing their best ball when the games matter most, and Swinney has Clemson back in the top 10.
