was overrated or underrated. The host thought Swinney was underrated and asked Bowden his opinion. His response was – “He has been the head coach three or four years. He won the divisional championship his first year and won the ACC his third year. Now what puts a little luster [off of it] was that middle year where they had a losing season. Gosh they hadn’t had one in a long time. 17 years or something like that. I don’t think he is underrated at all. I think the jury is still out simply because of the consistency. They have been there three years. How much was inherited, how much had we done? Those are questions the media is always going to throw out there, but I don’t think he is underrated.
