Ford may have had surgery on broken hand

Although the surgery is unconfirmed Ford was spotted wearing a “heavy cast” on his left hand by Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune.

Head coach Hue Jackson was asked about Ford during his post-practice press conference, but offered few details.

“I don’t think it is going to be something that is real long,” said Jackson when asked if Ford had surgery–avoiding the question altogether. “I think he will be ready for the opener there is no question in my mind. He is a fast healer; he knows he will be ready when it is time to be ready.”

The media continued to pepper him.

“Is there any pins in there or anything?” he was asked.

“Let me say this, his hand is looking pretty good to me right now. He has it wrapped up and he is going to be fine,” he responded.
