I'm pleased to present today's Historic Clemson Photo, submitted by long time TigerNet member Mintaka®.

These historic posts will each have a sponsor with a very brief video message. After playing, the update and photos will replace the video.

This is a classic photograph of the Clemson Theater in the mid-50s. This theater was very successful over the years as thousands of Clemson students and locals would venture down to this place countless times. I can't even begin to count the number of films I saw in there.

Looks like today's movie is the 1955 Otto Preminger classic "The Man with the Golden Arm" with Frank Sinatra, Eleanor Parker and Kim Novak. I didn't know what was on the marquee until I saw the movie poster.

Today the Tiger Sports Shop is at that location, however I often wish it would convert
back to a theater with the neon sign back in operation. Oh, and someone is going to have to move that light pole, lol.
