played his first regular season football game since his ACL injury last summer and passed for 160 yards and four touchdowns in Jonesboro 31-6 win over Mount Zion last Friday.

Cooper was given the 11Alive Sports Athlete of the Week Award on Wednesday for his accomplishments against Mount Zion.


As a junior, Cooper threw for 1,200 yards on 56 of 86 passing with six touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 2,200 yards and 23 touchdowns and also rushed for 404 yards and 11 more scores.
