From Times and Democrat:
“You’ll have to wait and see on July 31,” Williams said. Williams, who recently attended a showcase at the University of South Carolina, noted that being able to play in his home state played a major role in his decision to narrow his list to the Tigers and the Gamecocks. Still, there were other things that stood out about the two rival programs. “Carolina is looking for a player like me,” Williams explained. “Going to them, I can go in and start my freshman year. I’ve got a good bond with Coach Steve Spurrier Jr. and Coach (Everette) Sands. At the showcase yesterday, that was my first day working in front of Coach Spurrier and he coached me really good. “Clemson treats you well. I like their offense. They spread the ball and they move the ball up and down the field, but they’re stacked at wide receiver.” As a junior, he had 66 receptions for 1296 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 42 receptions. He prefers to play football close to home. Clemson's recruiter of record are Jeff Scott and Marion Hobby. He was Preseason Elite 11 watch list selection by the Orangeburg (S.C.) Times and Democrat. Clemson offered Williams on May 18th, 2011. He attended camp at Clemson on June 15th, 2011. He took an unofficial visit to Clemson for the Clemson-Wake Forest game.
The only question now is will it be Clemson or South Carolina.
