Woodbridge (VA) defensive back Dashaun Jerkins visited Clemson along with three high school teammates and his coach over the weekend.

In 2015, Jerkins was named 1st team All-Conference defensive back with 60 tackles, three sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and two pass breakups.

TigerNet spoke with Jerkins on Monday afternoon, and he was impressed with his initial visit to Clemson.

The visit was amazing," Jerkins said. "Awesome place and atmosphere to be in and definitely will have to visit again."

Jerkins was able to spend some time with Clemson coaches Brent Venables and Dabo Swinney.

"I met with Coach Venables, and Coach Swinney gave everyone a very influential speech," Jerkins said. "Both of them make Clemson feel like home, and they are honest and very open about Clemson. That's what I like about them."

Jerkins also was able to observe the scrimmage in Death Valley, spend time with the support staff and visit the locker room to try on some of the different Clemson gear.

"I got the opportunity to watch the players scrimmage each, and see how the coaching staff operates," Jerkins said. "The support staff really reflected the school, coaching staff, and players well. I also got the chance to visit the locker room and try on their helmets and jerseys. It was great creating a bond with Coach Venables. Clemson is a great place and was a great experience, and I will return for camp."

He also said that his high school coach and his teammates enjoyed the visit just as much as he did.

Jerkins does not currently have a Clemson offer but has scholarship offers from Maryland, North Carolina and North Carolina State (1st offer). He said that there was a possibility that Clemson will offer him soon.

He plans to camp at several schools including Alabama, Clemson and North Carolina this summer.
