ESPN: NR

Clemson recently landed a commitment from Byron Maxwell, who is the number one defensive back in the Palmetto State this year. Clemson has only offered one other defensive back prospect in South Carolina this year, Ronnie Tyler. Tyler holds offers from Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

"I have close to ten offers now. I am still wide open right now. There are some schools that I am beginning to look at closer, but everything is still wide open."

Tyler recently visited Georgia.

"The trip to Athens went well. It was not the first time I had been down there. I was there for the Nike Camp, and that went really well. After that camp, that is when my offers really started coming in. Coach Richt is very good person, and he has a great staff. Georgia really has a lot to offer. I am going to visit South Carolina and Clemson over the next two weeks, and that should be the end of my camps."

Could Tyler be ready to make a decision after his camps?

"I would not say it is out of the question. I want to see what all of these schools have to offer. Right now, I doubt I would make a commitment, but if I feel after a visit, I know where I want to go, then I will make my decision."

Ron West is recruiting Tyler for Clemson.
