Clemson has had success at Fort Dorchester in recent years. This season Burton Burns has set his sights on Carlos Dunlap at Fort Dorchester. Dunlap may currently be leaning to Georgia, but Clemson is also watching Justin Birch.
Birch is an athletic tight end prospect. Birch is following a very similar to path to his older brother Durrell Barry. "Durrell played a lot of positions in high school, and I think he played quarterback in prep school. It helps you to get that experience. This year I am going to play tight end and defensive end, so I will get experience on both sides of the ball." Birch is still awaiting his first offer. Clemson, South Carolina, and Auburn are showing the most interest. Birch says, he likes all three schools. "With Clemson, my brother is there, and I know they have stuck by him and taken care of him. South Carolina has Spurrier, and they will throw the ball a lot. Auburn is a national title contender." Fort Dorchester has attended the passing camps at Clemson the last two years, and Clemson will likely get a chance to scout Birch in person this summer, at which point an offer could be likely.
