After receiving a verbal commitment from Kendrick Johnson, Clemson will only take one more wide receiver in the 2006 recruiting class. Richard Jackson is one of about four or five wide receivers Clemson is still recruiting. Jackson has a host of offers, but Clemson made his final cut.

"I am still looking at nine schools. Clemson, South Carolina, Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Georgia Tech. I have already been to Clemson, Florida State, and Miami."

Does any one school standout to Jackson?

"Florida State was my favorite school growing up, but I am going through each day with an open mind. Any school in the list I gave has a shot."

What does Jackson think of Clemson?

"Clemson has a lot positives. They are building a new facility that is going to be amazing. They have a new offensive coordinator this year, and I know they like to throw the ball. My coach is good friends with the Bowden family, so I know Coach Bowden is a good person and would be a good coach to play for."

Jackson has an open mind, but it will be difficult for Jack Hines to pull him out of the state of Florida.
