Ted Laurent - Defensive Line
Height: 6-2   Weight: 285   Hometown: Powder Springs, GA (McEachern HS)   Class: 2007
ESPN: NR

Two years ago, Clemson went into Powder Springs and signed Etta Etta-Tawo. Clemson will be back in Powder Springs again this year. The Tigers are recruiting defensive lineman Ted Laurent.

The Tigers have not offered Laurent, but one ACC and two SEC schools have offered Laurent.

"Right now, I have offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech. Georgia is close to offering me. I went there for an unofficial visit. I had a really good time there, and it was everything I expected."

Are the Bulldogs the early team to beat?

"If they are offer, they will be my leader. My parents grew up Georgia fans, and I grew up a Georgia fan. I just really like the atmosphere in Athens."

How do the Tigers stand with Laurent?

"I like Clemson. They have an atmosphere is similar to Georgia's. Clemson is a program on the rise. They would be in my top five."

Georgia is the team to beat in this race. If the Bulldogs offer, this will be a short race, as Laurent would likely commit early to the Bulldogs.
