Tony Nelson - Running Back
Height: 5-10   Weight: 190   Hometown: Germantown, MD (Northwest HS)   Class: 2005

At their summer camp of 2004 Clemson offered Tony Nelson and a couple of days later he committed to the Tigers. Clemson will no longer recruit Nelson for a couple of reasons. First and most importantly, Nelson has a way to go before he is qualified. His test score needs a major improvement. Second, the coach that recruited him is no longer on staff and the new staff feels they cannot afford to turn down other prospects that are in better academic standing. Nelson has a scholarship offer to Marshall, who has different academic standards.
