He is a really good run-blocker and has a good upside. He can play offensive tackle or guard. Clemson offered on 6/4/12. Committed to Clemson on 2/4/2013.

Mickey Plyler on Hearn: "Clemson offered early and likes his versatility. On film Hearn moves pretty well. He also looked good when I saw him at the Shrine Bowl against better competition. Clemson liked him in camp, but I wanted to see him in the Shrine Bowl. Hearn has a good base and good potential."
