J.C. Neal - Wide Receiver
Height: 6-1   Weight: 185   Hometown: Sumter, SC (Lakewood HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

JC Neal may still be leaning towards going out of the state of South Carolina, but coaching changes at NC State could have an impact on him. NC State has lost their offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach over the last couple of weeks.

"The coaching changes probably won't affect me. I am going to talk to them in the next week about that. The new coach may not want me on offense, and that could play a big factor in my decision."

Although Neal would like to play offense in college, he showed at the Shrine Bowl that he is definitely capable of being a playmaker at safety. Neal had two interceptions on his way to earning defensive MVP.

"It felt good, really good. I know their was a lot of great players there, and it made me feel really good to know that I was able to play my game and standout."

Neal is still scheduled to take official visits to South Carolina (1/7), NC State (1/14), and Clemson (1/21). Neal has already made official visits to Virginia Tech and Maryland.
